Daffy and Porky! Fan Art! No one draws the Looney Tunes anymore! So I did! Loonatics suck etc!

*ahem* Yeah, like Azumanga for quite some time, Looney Tunes is my current obsession, especially the Bob Clampett directed ones, so here's some art that attempts to re-create the bizarre brilliance of those toons. Why does Daffy have two heads? Who cares, it's WACKY.

Blimey, this is my first post here in almost a month. You can see the inking of this at me Blog. GO > [link]

Now THIS is the Daffy duck we all know and love.
The TOTALLY INSANE ONE!!!!

I always thought it was a shame that ol' Daffy went from being a total loon
(Great piggy bank robbery, Daffy's Southern exposure, Daffy and the dinosaur, Daffy duck slept here, The impatient patient, etc.) to a greedy, cowardly jerk
(The Duck Dodgers series, The iceman ducketh, Assault and peppered, etc.)

I mean, come ON, wasn't he FUNNIER when he was an absolute nut? Apt to do anything, completely insane, and able to break the laws of physics at will! I liked the early daffy better.

And unless I'm wrong, Daffy is wearing the telegraph boy's hat from "The impatient patient"!

GREAT work here!
You truly captured the spirit of the "Crazy" Daffy!

Nice mental artwork. Porky's been branded :D

The two heads you could just pass off as classic cartoon motion blur.

I prefered Clampett's Daffy and Bugs too, they were more multi dimentional and prime examples of the western's traditional 'screwball' cartoon characters, Bugs is now a one dimentional 'goody goody' while Daffy is an overtamed rival character (though they at least used Clampett's original 'daffy' Daffy for his piano duel in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Mel Blanc's final role as the character ). Porky worked better against Clampett's Daffy than being the Jones' version's sidekick. His role of the 'everyman' and normal guy is funnier when something is working completely against him.

True. Jones' Daffy is pretty damn funny at times (Duck Amuck is genius), it's just I usually prefer the original Daffy, the one that was, well, daffy.
