Ok, that came out of nowhere. Can't wait, this is the most historic video game crossover since Capcom VS SNK, but come on, Sega, Nintendo...you KNOW what we really want.

We want Sonic and Mario BEATING THE LIVING SHITE OUT OF EACH OTHER.

(Aka Sonic in Smash Bros Brawl please!)

They may not be rivals anymore, but anyone who was about for the 16-bit era has been dying to see this happen, surely. I have a feeling that this sudden announcement of Sega produced crossover pretty much confirms Sonic in Brawl. It's a you-scratch-my-back-and-I'll-scratch-yours sort deal, I bet.

Bring it on!

EDIT: Hooray! He's in it, and is exactly how I imagined him to be, complete with old school attacks like the dash attack. [link]

Well in an interview on IGN, Sega said 'It's not on the cards just yet' and bla bla about how great the Olympics are and how they're games must be successful cos they sold lots (do they count those that are traded in the next day?)
But yeah, I'd like to see some big Nintendo vs Sega thing in a sorta Marvel vs Capcom theme.

Yes I too find it odd that after all these years, the battle to end all battles, a war in the 16 bit era...happens at the Olympic games XD but heh, Sonic is more likely in Brawl now, at least it seems like that.

I'm excited about it, and usually, nothing about the Olympics excites me. That, and the fact that it will be like an expanded WiiSports with Sonic and Mario characters? Oh, it will be good. :-)

I've always been doubtful that we'll ever see the mascots battle it out, but if there is a chance, I think now is the most likely time. Here's hoping!
