What with the recent news of this ingenius new game: [link] , and just finding out there is a new animated movie of them on the way: [link] with some of the sacked classic Disney animators working on it, and the possibility all the other films may be getting UK DVD releases later this year, I felt like making some long-deserved fan art to this awesome french comic book series. Took much longer to CG then I first imagined it would, tough. Sketched and penned than done up in Photoshop. These two kick major arse.

I remember those guys. I have an old cartoon on VHS, somewhere, and a genesis game...
Back on topic, though.
I Like the style on this piece. Very cool. The colors are nice and smooth, with spiffy gritty lines.

LOL!! Astreix Lookes Like a Psycho Gnome but ah how I adored this series when it was still alive ^_^ And a new Movie you say?? :D BRILLIANT!!! Hope its as good as there journey in egypt or Britain (allthough they only went too England not even one Scot in sight too :() But there probably like the French Disney...guy...dilly's (Ooh such delicious animation from there movieS* ^o^ I WANNA SEE IT NOW!! XD Great Colouring and posing here :D Well Impressed again :D

Yeah, I used to have one of the Mega Drive Asterix games (Asterix and the power of the gods), but being the stupid kid I was I sold it, and now I can't find another copy again ;_;

Cool, so their not dead after all..seems the new game bashes mario sunshine ^^;
ah well.. Asterix and obelix XXL was fun for the gba.. and a new movie.. ASTERIX AND THE VICKINGS?? Why the hell did they pick THAT book? O_O;

Nice job on them, especially Obelix looks good ^^
